Duties and Responsibilities for the Vehicle Mechanic:
- Ensuring that all servicing, repairs and PPM work is completed in a safe and timely manner

- Accurately ordering of your parts and working closely with the parts department.
- Working closely with the service supervisor.
- Carrying out inspections and repairs of vehicles at the depot as required – in conformance with manufacturer’s specification and any regulations affecting their use.
- Ensuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine – and notifying appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Vehicle Technician:
- Performing major and minor repairs to vans
- Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services
- Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
- Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
- Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired, using all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge
- Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
- Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.

Skills and Qualifications for the Vehicle Technician:
- You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in PC/LCV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus, will have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs.
- What’s more, you will need the ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.
