Duties and Responsibilities for the HGV Technician:
- Performing major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles.
- Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes.
- Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
- Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
- Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled.
- Providing repair services to clients on the road in case of emergencies.
- Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
Skills and Qualifications for the HGV Technician:
- You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance.
- You will need the ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards
- UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes

Building Services Engineer

Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer will support the delivery of all mechanical building services and infrastructure across the venue, working under the direction of the M&E Team Leader.
You will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering expertise to support long-term asset maintenance, system reliability and operational performance. Ensuring the longevity and efficient day-to-day operation of the estate’s mechanical infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and complete reactive and PPM work orders using the CAFM system, ensuring timely completion and accurate record-keeping
- Promote and uphold Health & Safety standards within the M&E team
- Support the M&E Team Leader with contractor management, including oversight of the catering equipment maintenance contract and associated service delivery
- Assist with onsite C.A.T scanning activities (training available if required)
- Monitor, document and analyse building performance data via the BMS platform, ensuring systems operate effectively
- Carry out fault-finding, maintenance and repair of AHUs and FCUs, including replacement of belts, filters, and associated components
- Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of all mechanical building services, in line with site operating procedures and standard maintenance practices
- Conduct routine mechanical alarm testing, ensuring all results and certification are documented accurately and maintained in compliance logs
- Support small-scale plumbing and mechanical installation projects, including temporary water and drainage provisions for race days and live events
- Support the team’s on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support (1 in 5 weeks)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Recognised formal mechanical or plumbing training (e.g., City and Guilds)
- Relevant qualifications and competencies in a mechanical discipline
- Formal training in catering equipment maintenance and repairs (advantageous)
- Significant experience as a Building Services Engineer within a large organisation
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings
- Hands-on experience with BMS systems (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and COSHH requirements
- Proven experience in fault-finding techniques

Duties and Responsibilities:
- To operate machinery and tractor drive as required.
- To assist in the preparation of all racing surfaces and course renovation after racing.
- To build and repair (maintenance) of hurdles and fences.
- To assist with the movement of the course running rail.
- To assist with mowing of all grass areas.
- To operate the irrigation system and water the track and other areas as instructed.
- To assist with the maintenance of non-grass areas inside perimeter fencing.

Painting and Decorating operative will be responsible for supporting the Painting and Decorating (P&D) team, in the delivery of all Painting and Decorating elements across Ascot Racecourse. You will support the long- term maintenance, day to day operation as well as event set up. You will provide knowledge of operation and building infrastructure. You will report to the P&D Team Leader and work as part of the wider Property Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the P&D Team leader with Health and Safety within the Painting and Decorating Team and contractors under your direct control, making sure that RAMS are received, filed and followed.
- Support on raising orders for P&D budget lines, making sure any overspends are communicated to the Facilities Manager.
- Issuing, monitoring, and assisting where needed, and closing all the reactive jobs on a regular basis.
- To ensure and maintain the estate in accordance with operating procedures.
- To undertake regular inspections of the estate, making sure any faults are repaired within deadlines.

- Significant experience as a Painter and Decorator for a large organisation.
