Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a HVAC Business Development Manager on a permanent basis due to growth to be based at their site in Leatherhead (with UK travel).

This is a new position within the company and the right candidate will have an established network of HVAC contacts but will be able to grow with the business and shall have the opportunity to expand their role in the direction that they are best suited.
The candidate will ideally be London or South-East based as, after an initial training period at the head office in Leatherhead, it is anticipated that you will spend approximately two days per week in the office and the remainder visiting customers nationally, or working from home.

This is a long term career opportunity, and they are looking for someone who is a genuine team player and may be looking towards becoming a Sales Team Leader in the future.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Seek out opportunities and continuously promote our products and services to our customers which include engineering consultants, specifiers, contractors, service and facilities providers and end users
  • Visit HVAC and steam bath manufacturers, installers, contractors and consultants to build on established relationships or to create new ones which generate enquiries and leads for humidity control equipment
  • Attend our customers sites throughout the UK to carry out site surveys and to meet with customers at their offices to discuss projects
  • Provide sales and application based technical support and advice over the phone, in person and via email to our customers
  • Provide detailed quotations promptly to customers
  • Follow up quotations to ensure that the customer has all the information required and to encourage the placing of an order
  • Provide weekly, monthly and annual sales plans Assist with the marketing and promotion of our equipment via social media (Linkedin), trade exhibitions, seminars and face to face with customers

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hardworking and self-motivated individual, results driven, positive and enthusiastic
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Confident and proficient in presenting to individuals, small groups and larger audiences (CPDs)
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent in an engineering background
  • Proven track record of selling products to the HVAC sector
  • Strong IT skills – word, excel, CRM, Sage
  • Full, Clean UK driving licence
  • Willing to undertake regular training in house, with our suppliers and with external training providers
  • Willing to travel which may incur staying away overnight when necessary
  • Prepared to go ‘the extra mile’
