MS408 – Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality Consultant
Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality Consultant on behalf of one of our clients.
Typical working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out occupational aerosol (dust, fibre, VOC etc.) and gas exposure monitoring assessments at a wide variety of interesting sites.
- Preparing interpretative reports, referring to HSE guidance and COSHH EH40, interpretation of monitoring results and observations and making recommendations for improving controls.
- Assisting with initial enquiries, reviewing MSDS information and preparing quotations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- The role requires a mix of office and site-based work, so you must have a full UK driving license.
- Ideally 1-2 years previous relevant client facing experience.
- Existing membership of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) and knowledge of HSE monitoring methodology, COSHH EH40 and other IAQ guidelines would be advantageous.
- GCSE’s (or equivalent) in maths, science and English and a relevant degree (minimum 2:1 BSc/BEng or MSc), such as Occupational Hygiene or Environmental Science is preferable.
- Attention to detail is essential in this role, as are excellent customer service/communication skills.
