JR240: Greenkeeper

Location: Tydd St Giles, Cambridgeshire

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Greenkeeper on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To maintain the high standards of the golf course and holiday home development expected by our members and visitors
Maintain the greens, surrounds, fairways, rough, tee’s, bunkers and other areas on the golf course on a regular and rotated basis to high standards
Ensure all rubble and litter is removed from the golf course, the surrounding areas and the lodge development
Ensure the grounds around the lodges are maintained in a clean and tidy manner on a regular basis. This may include grass cutting, weeding and strimming
Ensure that the Greenkeepers compound is regularly cleaned and tidied , all machinery and equipment is regularly cleaned, serviced and locked when not in use
Note and report any work requiring attention on the golf course or lodge development to the Head Greenkeeper as soon as possible
Undertake minor repairs and other maintenance activities in line with your skills and professional competence
Talk to customers in a friendly and helpful manner
To undergo specific training as indicated by the Manager as and when required
Take all reasonable steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of all employees, patrons and visitors, by promoting safe working practices
Comply with company policies, rules and procedures at all times
Any other duties as required by your line manager commensurate with your role

Skills and Qualifications:

Practical skills, to use a variety of tools, equipment and machinery
Observational skills and attention to detail, to notice problems with the course
Teamwork skills - and the ability to spend a lot of time working on your own
A current full UK driving licence with category C
