RT5 - Fleet Manager
Location: Coventry
Salary: £45,000 Per Annum
Overview
As our asset base and fleet expands, we’re looking for an experienced, professional, hard-working leader to run and maintain our comprehensive forestry and aboricultural asset base. Our fleet ranges from specialist forestry (harvester, forwarder) and mechanised arb (excavators, whole-tree chippers) machines to HGVs and trailers (low loader, walking floor, timber). This is a rare opportunity to run an integral part of an investment-backed business with substantial growth potential. The role would involve working closely with our Operations team as well as managing our current Mechanic/Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver on our fleet strategy, as articulated by Company Directors
- Responsible for managing, maintaining, renewing and expanding asset base
- Maintain and update asset inventory, including apply relevant safety checks and ensuring they are completed
- Maintain and expand company accreditations (FORS, LOLER etc.)
- Manage our mechanic / engineer and support with maintenance works as required
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering and/or fleet management experience
- Transport Manager CPC or equivalent
- FORS Fleet Manager qualification
- Ideally experience in the Forestry or Arboriculture sector
- Full UK Driving License (HGV is a bonus)
- Clear DBS check
