JR251: Site Manager
Location: Melksham
Salary: £59,398 Per Annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Site Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing a contract programme from the Divisional Director’s preliminary production targets.
- Prepare materials delivery schedules.
- Liaison with sub-contractors appointed by the Company to undertake the work within agreed timetables.
- Manage and control all site operatives, sub-contractors and other resources, ensuring that a high level of safety is at the forefront of delivery.
- Ensure high standards of conduct and workmanship.
- Call off materials from main/bulk orders and liaise with the buying department for all material needs.
- Check all deliveries and report on deficiencies collate and return delivery notes and maintain all site records.
- Enact and comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Keep abreast of current legislative requirements.
- Liaise with professional consultants and advisors.
- Enact and comply with the Company’s Disciplinary and Grievance policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in managing construction of new build housing, from inception to completion
- Be competent with project planning, site Health & Safety with commercial awareness.
- Have good people management, problem solving skills and time management skills.
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships
- Have Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification
- A full driving licence and car is essential
- Relevant First Aid Qualification
- NVQ Level 6/7
- Valid Scaffold Appreciation Certificate
- Valid LOLER certificate
- CPCS Telehandler license.
