ML55- Building Regulations Principal Designer.
Salary: Up to £65,000.
Location: Oxford.
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Building Regulations Principal Designer on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The ability to offer specialist advice around the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations to both external clients and the wide range of disciplines as they require support.
- Undertake plan checks and review designs to establish compliance for submission for Building Regulation approval.
- Attend client and design team meetings to give professional advice regarding building regulations.
- Provide technical advice to clients, contractors, developers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure project design is completed in line with current building regulations and legislation.
- Inspect properties and buildings at key stages of the design process.
Skills and qualifications:
- Possess specialist knowledge and expertise or demonstrable technical interest (could be sector specific or technically specific).
- Ability to work on multiple projects.
- An understanding of the design process and the principles of risk reduction.
- A thorough knowledge of the Building Regulations and associated legislation.
- Appropriate experience of the design and construction processes.
- Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Salary: Up to £65,000.
