JR181: Field Service Engineer

Salary: Up to £44,000 Per Annum (OTE £56k+)
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Test, install, commission, plan maintenance and fault find, on mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Power and control equipment for mains frequency channel furnaces, including a range of electrical, electronic, control and mechanical ancillary equipment and refractory.
- Work along side main contractor to supervise the installation of equipment.
- Lead teams, giving out instructions and monitoring others.
- Create plans, schedules whilst monotiling and maintaining them.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read electrical, electronic and mechanical schematics and drawings.
- Previous experience working within the Manufacturing/Production/Industrial engineering sectors.
- Ability to work alone to plan and control the work schedule, diagnose faults, make repairs and supervise other workers, such as contractors.
- Comfortable making on the spot decisions and sharing information and decision making with customers and office support personnel.
- Computer literacy (report writing, email, presentation of data, etc).
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Understanding of electrical and electronic circuit theory (Desirable).
