Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum + Bonus
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Chemical Operator on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
- Load and unload road tankers and curtain-sided delivery vehicles.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues promptly.
- Operate a forklift truck for materials handling.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve operational challenges.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Accurately perform calculations and measurements related to chemical processes.
- Participate in stock management and materials storage tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid FLT licence preferred, but not essential.
- Experience handling hazardous chemicals is desirable but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and high safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic maths skills essential for production-related calculations.
- Physically capable of lifting and operating machinery safely.
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
