MS585 - Warehouse Operative
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Location: Andover
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all goods, loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork.
- Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures.
- Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers.
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.
- Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules.
- Assisting with warehouse inventory controls.
- Painting of assets when required.
- Servicing and testing of assets when required.
- Dispensing and transferring of fuel.
- Inspection and confidence checking of all hose sizes and variances.
- Act as cover as a driver installer assisting the engineers and installing/deinstalling portable HVAC equipment.
- Represent the company and values of the business to portray a professional image to customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work.
- Carry out ad hoc tasks where and when required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Physically capable to carry out heavy workload.
- Working well as part of a team.
- Full driving licence.
- Work well under own initiative.
- Being proactive without supervision.
- Demonstrate strong teamworking skills between colleagues across the whole service team.
Desirable:
- Previous experience of HVAC equipment.
- Previous mechanical experience.
