Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £45,000
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to oversee renewable mechanical installations across multiple sites. This role involves hands-on leadership of installation teams, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance in all mechanical work, including air source heat pumps and heating systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise on-site mechanical teams across multiple projects.
- Conduct desktop and physical installation surveys for compliance and quality.
- Interpret mechanical drawings and ensure work aligns with technical specs.
- Perform quality control, system testing, and commissioning.
- Liaise between site teams, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Maintain health & safety standards, risk assessments, and daily site records.
- Plan resources and contribute to project scheduling and timelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or Heating & Ventilation.
- Proven experience supervising mechanical/renewable energy installations.
- Valid CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- MCS installation experience.
- BPEC/NICEIC certification in solar or heat pump systems.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Experience with PAS 2035 or ECO4 energy efficiency schemes.
