MB803: CNC Setter/Operator
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £35,000 including shift allowance
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm (week 1 and week 2)

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a CNC Setter/Operator on a permanent basis due to growth to cover their Gloucester branch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Setting and operating CNC milling machines and/or lathes.
Machining a range of plastic components supporting a variety of industries.
Download the required programme from the CAD/CAM system, checking that the drawing issue is correct to the route card information.
Locate and identify the correct material for the job, vacuum or clamp in place and set the datums required for the machine.
Locate and set all tooling required, including all tool offsets.
Ensure all parts are measured correctly using company calibrated equipment.
Ensure all route card information is completed, i.e. time allocated, operator stamp, quantity made and first off inspection.
Ensure all company procedures are followed at all times, including completing a scrap form if there are con-conforming parts. Ensuring that the housekeeping of the manufacturing area has been done in line with company policy.
Follow all Health & Safety requirements and always using the appropriate PPE.
Any ad-hoc duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator in an engineering environment.
Strong understanding of CNC turning operations, tooling, and setups.
Excellent communication skills, must be able to communicate at all levels.
Calm professional manner, but must have a good sense of humour.
Positive \"can do\" attitude with a good attention to detail.
Able to work extended and/or unsocial hours to the full requirement of the role.
Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
