JMB4 - Plant Mechanic
Location: Glasgow, Glasgow City, Scotland
Salary: £30k - 35k per year + Vehicle
The Role:
First Military Recruitment are looking for a motivated and hands-on Service/Repair Engineer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of High-Pressure Water Jetting equipment, working in their Glasgow workshop.
Experience with high-pressure jetting systems is an advantage, but full, comprehensive training will be provided.
Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged but all applications will be given due consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with diesel engines and basic electrical systems
- Inspect and diagnose faults on a wide range of jetting and pumping equipment
- Repair or replace defective parts, sourcing or fabricating components using hand and machine tools
- Rebuild and reassemble machinery
- Test and commission equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and well-organised work environment
- Support the wider team with workshop tasks and occasional field-based work
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team
