MS659 - Logistics & Purchasing Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Logistics & Purchasing Manager on behalf of one of our clients. This role suits someone who enjoys structure, detail, and responsibility, and who takes pride in keeping complex operations running smoothly behind the scenes while working closely with production, workshop, and senior teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own and manage day-to-day purchasing of materials, consumables, and services.
- Raise, track, and reconcile purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including international shipments.
- Manage import and export processes, including documentation, duty, and tax requirements.
- Support production flow by ensuring materials and components arrive on time and in full.
- Maintain accurate records within Salesforce and support traceability across projects.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Support warehouse organisation and movement of goods, including high-value items.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role at a similar level is essential.
- A strong understanding of import and export processes, duty, and tax implications is essential.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills to keep projects moving efficiently.
- A forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
