JR293: HSE Manager
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Salary: £52,630.50 per annum + £6,000 Vehicle Allowance
Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a HSE Manager to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Line-manage the HSE Advisor and HSE Coordinator, providing regular 1:1s, objective setting, development plans and performance reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to ensure the team deliver high-quality HSE support.
- Prioritise team workload and coordinate allocation of site visits, investigations and audits.
- Champion a positive safety culture and ensure HSE is embedded in day-to-day operations.
- Influence managers and supervisors to take accountability for safety performance.
- Ensure TBG complies with UK health, safety and environmental legislation (HSWA, RIDDOR, CDM, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, EA regulations, etc.).
- Maintain and update HSE policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
- Oversee documentation produced by the HSE Advisor and HSE Coordinator, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Support the Head of QHSE during any regulatory inspections or enforcement activity.
Skills and Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Strong operational HSE experience within utilities. Construction,
- Experience working in Engineering or energy environments
- Experience supervising or managing HSE professionals or Technical staff
- Demonstrable experience leading investigations and audits
- Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
- Skilled in risk assessment, permit systems and incident analysis
