JR334: Warehouse Manager
Location: Uxbridge
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their team in Uxbridge. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring the warehouse runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. This role requires a proactive and organised individual with strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills who can oversee warehouse operations while driving continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Branch Manager on all day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Manage the daily operation of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient use of labour, equipment, and storage space.
- Oversee the administration of all warehouse operational paperwork, ensuring accurate filing and compliance with company procedures.
- Act as the primary liaison between the business, customers, clients, and alternative storage facilities.
- Ensure all operational matters are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Produce and distribute operational reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide accurate and timely operational information to support warehouse functions.
- Carry out forklift truck operations and general warehouse duties where required.
- Complete a range of administrative duties to support warehouse operations.
- Use the Moveware system to process bookings and container movements.
- Accurately record and monitor crate usage to support timely invoicing.
- Drive cost-effective warehouse operations by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maximise warehouse capacity and optimise storage utilisation.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained, safe, and available for use.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company standards at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a large warehouse or storage environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
- Customer-focused with the ability to understand and respond to customer requirements.
- Proactive, reliable, resilient, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Licensed Forklift Truck Operator (Reach and Counterbalance preferred).
- Experience using warehouse management systems, including Moveware, is desirable.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
