JMB49 - Class 1 HGV Driver (Days)

Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire

Salary: Competitive Hourly + Overtime Available 

Job Type: Permanent

Shift: Monday - Friday (6am Start)

Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers on behalf of one of our established logistics clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional and reliable Class 1 drivers looking for a secure, permanent position with a well-established organisation. We are recruiting for multiple positions across day shifts, offering regular and consistent work for the right candidates.

The successful applicants will join a professional transport operation where safety, reliability and a strong work ethic are highly valued. We are looking for drivers who take pride in their work, maintain high standards and are committed to delivering a professional service.

This position would suit an experienced HGV driver looking for a long-term opportunity, as well as drivers who are looking to develop their experience within a structured transport environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Completing scheduled trunking runs safely and efficiently
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys
• Ensuring all relevant transport documentation is completed
• Complying with drivers' hours and tachograph legislation
• Maintaining a high standard of vehicle care
• Representing the company professionally at all times

Requirements 

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence 
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver CPC
• Previous Class 1 trunking experience(Desirable)
• Previous shunting experience(Desirable) 
• Reliable and professional approach to work
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently
